  1. Tribe Wins Cannes

    Follow the journey of Tribe Pictures CEO and Chief Storyteller Vern Oakley to the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. From the call that started it all in a small Summit restaurant and the Awards Gala on the sun-soaked beaches of the French Riviera to returning home with gold in hand.

    Throughout the journey, Vern meditated on the importance of celebration to Tribe and all businesses as well as how the deepest, intimate human emotions will always be central to Tribe’s productions.

    Our CEO Vern Oakley is in Australia, Sydney to be precise, at the International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers. We hear it’s a great success, - not surprisingly as it’s hosted by our frequent partner, Donna Svanberg, of Capitol Productions.

  7. 32nd Annual Telly Awards

    The 32nd annual Telly Awards were just given out, and Tribe was honored in receiving 5 of them!  Tribe won the silver award for the Stanley, Black & Decker film, as well as the bronze award for Hess, Lewis & Clark College, Washington & Lee University and Lafayette College.  We will continue to work hard at making quality films we enjoy and are proud of!

  9. 700 Million Users on Facebook!

    There are about to be 700 million users on Facebook!!  We can see the fastest growth is in Asia and South America where other social media networks (Orkut and Hi5) are losing ground.  For example, Brazil has grown 11% in the last month in the number of Facebook users.  Check out the link: for more information!

  10. IQ comes to Tribe in Chatham!

    The International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers enjoyed a few days of business and fun this past weekend at Tribe Pictures, hosted by our own Vern Oakley!  All of the board members discussed and debated the future of IQ, while managing to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones.
